11/13/2022 0 Comments Change mount and blade menu music![]() ![]() If you mess up for whatever reason at any point in the process and decide that you need to start over from scratch:ī) make an exact copy of the folder ĭ) start swapping files again on this new file.ħ. ![]() Later on, if you ever want to replace certain songs that you're now using with something else:Ī) go back to your list, figure out what the corresponding file name is of that song you want to replace inside that folder (it may have several different file names if you used it more than once) ī) delete all those file names that you want to replace Ĭ) place the replacement songs in the folder andĭ) rename the replacements using those exact same file names that you've just deleted.Ħ. But before doing any actual file swaps, I suggest first writing down what songs you plan to put in and what their new file names will be so that you can keep track of what you're doing (because once you're finished, none of the files in that folder will have any song titles in it so you'll obviously have no way of knowing what song goes with which scenario unless you keep a separate list handy).ĥ. This way, the same song will keep playing whenever those different scenarios occur during the game.Ĥ. If that's what you want to do:Ī) place multiple/duplicate copies of that same song into the folder ī) delete the original files that you wish to replace andĬ) rename each copy of the new song that you just added according to the different file names that you've just deleted. You can keep using the same songs multiple times. If you want to replace the entire library of songs that appears in the game, then you'll have to replace all 75 files in that folder with whatever alternate songs you have in mind. MAKE SURE that you rename it EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE ORIGINAL, otherwise it won't work.ģ. So, for example, if you want to replace the original music that plays whenever you get ambushed by the Khergits:Ī) you delete the "ambushed_by_khergit" file ī) drop your own music file in that folder and thenĬ) rename your replacement file as "ambushed_by_khergit". Each one has a name that's based on a scenario (e.g., "ambushed_by_khergit"). You'll notice there are 75 music files inside that folder. Any changes you make will be done on that second/identical folder which you will now name as. Now rename that first folder as or something like that. Make a duplicate copy of the entire Music folder. So with that in mind, here are the steps I would take:ġ. That way, in case you mess it up, or if you ever change your mind in the future and want to revert back to what was the original, then you can always do so easily. I always recommend first making a backup copy of whatever it is that's being changed before doing anything else.
